This multi instrumentalist bad boy could easily be a superstar in his own right but he seems to be under the spell of The Holy Modal Rounders, Guy Clark and others that could have really made it but seemed to make a concerted effort not to. Mixing organic writing and playing skills with personality, he has what it takes to be a massive, under the radar treat, since he’s already an underground star…

This show is a few solo sets by Eric Sommer, lead singer and guitar player for The Fabulous Piedmonts. And The Piedmonts may show up, but as of now it’s just Eric Sommer, back in Carrboro on the wonderful little stage at the Steel String Brewery.
